Description
2.25-horsepower Carrier Consolidated Inverter with heating and cooling
High-efficiency performance with inverter duct split systems, where a variety of condensing units work seamlessly with innovative evaporator units. This enables the creation of reliable, easy-to-install and easy-to-maintain solutions to meet the HVAC needs of homes.
These systems feature centrifugal efficiency, newly designed heat exchangers, an optimized air management system (AMS), as well as a quietly running compressor. The fans are statically and dynamically balanced, ensuring quiet operation with minimal vibration, thanks to the use of reinforced metal parts analyzed using advanced technologies.
When a power failure occurs while the air conditioner is running, the microprocessor in the electronic board activates the auto restart function. After power is restored, the air conditioner automatically turns on after a three-minute compressor safety delay, to protect the compressor from repeated operation.
R410 gas is used as an advanced refrigerant that combines three main advantages: Efficiency, environmental safety, and homogeneity. Air conditioners using R32 can be designed compactly and robustly, as this gas does not affect the ozone layer and has a negligible impact on global warming. The homogeneous composition also makes it easy to refill the air conditioner in the event of a leak.
However, the main disadvantage of models using this type of refrigerant is the high price, which is more related to the special requirements for the design of the refrigeration circuit rather than the cost of R32 itself.
Used as a refrigerant, liquefied propane has a number of advantages: It is non-toxic, environmentally friendly (it does not affect the ozone layer and has little effect on global warming), and it is homogeneous, which means that it does not require complete replacement in case of leakage, but only replenishment of the lost amount. Use with mineral oils that are not sensitive to moisture.
In addition, propane has a low operating pressure, which simplifies circuit design and reduces cost, and it provides low compressor outlet temperatures, which enhances efficiency. However, this refrigerant has two drawbacks: Flammability and high compressor capacity requirements, making these units heavy and bulky. Therefore, despite its advantages, the R290 is rarely used.
The protection systems include multiple features, such as protecting the indoor coil from freezing when the air conditioner is operated in cold mode with excessive dirt or clogged air filters, or when the ambient temperature is low. It also provides protection against high temperatures for the outdoor coil when the air conditioner is operated in cold mode.
The systems also include defrost function protection for the outdoor coil when the air conditioner is operated in heating mode at very low ambient temperatures, and cold draft protection when the heating mode is started to avoid user inconvenience.
Protection also includes an automatic reset mechanism for internal and external fan motors to protect the motor windings from high temperatures, as well as an internal compressor overload protector to protect the compressor motor windings from overheating.
